Here is a Caspian with a Officer's frame and Commander top end. Not what you wanted I suspect but all I have here. Caspian is good stuff. ![]() |

Dane - thanks for picture. I was looking to compare a "Tussey" designed Caspain frame height against a Para Ordnace P10 frame to see what the differences are in grip saftey and main spring housing...

Em, I am alomst finished my stainless steel caspian compact with officers slide in 38super it is about the size of a p-10 but it uses a regular grip saftey. I will try to post a picture of the unfinished pistol tonight (just needs blasted and polished). |

em, here is a pic of my .38 Super Caspain Compact. ![]() it is not a difficult build, since it uses a normal beavertail, but there is some tinkering required to make the springs necessary(mainspring, sear spring). Mine in 38 super holds 8 rounds. oh yeah that was also fun. trying to shorten the mags. it would have been easier to buy metalforms and cut the bottom off and weld a new bottom plate on, but I already had full size wilson mags. |

danial97 - thanks abunch, that's what I wanted to see. Now I wish I could get a scale picture of this frame against a Para Ordance P10. This frame looks like it might be in between a P10 and a P12 in length. I see that it uses a standard grip safety but the main spring housing looks to be a little shorted than the one used on a P12. I am on the verge of cutting a P14 to P12 length for a special progect but may be heading in direction... |

Em, Dan is a friend of mine. I will have him bring over his gun and we will take a pic of it next to a "mold gun" of the Para P-10.

Joshua Bulman - rogggggg, thanks, but after more careful study I don't think the progect will work--I'll just stick to cutting frame to P12 length... corrected... |

If you are planning on using the short Caspian frame as shown in the picture Dan provided, you can't really cut it down any further. The slot that holds the sear spring is about 1/16th of an inch from the bottom of the frame. You would have to get a new slot remachined after you cut the frame. On the frame that Dan has, he had to shorten the sear spring anyway. If you make it any shorter than he did you may run into problems with obtaining a good crisp trigger pull. The fulcrum of the sear will be higher, and not allow enough flex or adjustment of the spring.
