If you are going to get them with tritium, I would go with Novak. MMC is owned by the same company that makes PT night sights and uses their tritium inserts. Novak uses Trijicon inserts.

Hi Ted,
So if my gun has a Novak fixed / MMC adjustable cut already in the slide, can a new cut for the Novak adjustable be made pretty easily?

What's the purpose of the weapon? Are you using it for IDPA only? Will you rely on the gun for saving your life?

I've not used the MMC sight, but Ted did install the Novak adj on my 1991. His work was great, but the sight is weak in the elevation screw...which blew up halfway through an IDPA match. I lost a great deal of confidence in the sight when I saw the leaf flip up!

Caveat Emptor.

Saw this thread late, but FWIW the Novak adjustable rear sight on my Vic Tibbets-customized Delta works great. Vic installed it perfectly, and I've had no problems at all.

The gun's now approaching 1800rds or so, some of it the stiffer 10mm stuff, and the sight's still as tight as when I first fired it.

The Novak's elevation adjustment screw on my Government model Kimber cracked and flew off at about the time I fired my 75th round after the sights were installed. Novak sent me a replacement screw and springs but now I don't trust these sights. I'll probably replace them with Novak's fixed sights.
