Smith & Wesson Model 29

Got 'er back from Don Williams at
friday, abd I am incredibly pleased. Wish I could do pics, but
I'll describe the work instead:

*Bevel the cylinder in the old Colt blackpowder style.
*Supply/fit new style cylinder release.
*Mill of the original sight, install removable style with
gold dot.
*Teardrop hammer.
*Carry bevel.
*Install new black rear sight blade.
*Romove grooves on trigger, round and polish.
*Send to S&W for nickel removal and reblue.

*S&W also recut the forcing cone and installed a new hand.

Turned out fabulous! Thanks very much Don, well worth
the wait! 8)

Terribly sorry, but I'm afraid we must insist on pictures. Some things just can't be adequately described, and I'm betting this is one of them!

Congrats! Don worked over a m37 for me. He, indeed, does great work. He has a third one from me at his shop now. The wait has always been worth it, and August ain't too far off now!

My Model 58 is next for the same treatment, except it's not a
nickeled gun to begin with. S&W did an absolutely beautiful
job of stripping the offending nickel and polishing/rebluing!
I showed it to the gent that sold it to me, who doesn't care
for blued guns, and he just said: "Wow, that's gorgeous!"
I think S&W may have a convert!
