| S&W model 39 & Model 52
I previously posted this in the S&W section but I thought I'd reproduce here: Will the early (long) extractor for the S&W Model 39 work for the S&W Model 52 & 52-1? If not, how can it be tuned correctly? Thanks. |

Sorry, I can't help with this for certain. SOME of the S&W Model 39 and 59 extractors had the same factory part number.. number 101240000. I have no listing for an early extractor. You might contact S&W and ask them. Last edited by dfariswheel; 08-19-2016 at 05:55 PM. |

Thanks for your reply. No luck with S&W. The part numbers shown on the instruction sheets are similar except for one digit: Model 39: #6018 Models 52 & 52-1: #6218 My guess is that the same basic part was used but had a slight variation in shape at the front end. Unfortunately it seems risky to remove a good extractor from each for comparison because of possible breakage. Interestingly, in checking with Numrich Gun Parts, they list the Model 52, 39 and 59 old style extractor as the same item. Last edited by jofus; 08-20-2016 at 07:24 AM. |
