Is the model on this the Howa 1500 Lightning? I hit the website but didn't see the spec's I was looking for.

The barrelled actions are showing a 1-9 twist which should be stabilizing most bullet wieghts.

Well a friend of mine is going to try to bed the recoil lug on the ramline stock. H also hopefully put a box of another brand through it. Originally I had a bushnell banner scope on it that I have had on alot of rifles. I thought after shooting it, that it must have died. I put a new burris Full field on it. Regrettably I didnt clean the barrel as often as I should have. I was sighting in a Mark X rebarreled .308 ( also with a new howa barrel) at the same time so I was Kinda lazy. The other howa barrell shot alot better, not great, but bad. At least I know my Banner scope is still good. I dont know if I mentioned it before, but it shot about the same with both stocks. I will keep you posted. BTW, Howa will replace it if need be, as long as I dont modify the original setup.

I t seems to be a dud. None of the things mentioned above had any effect on it. I guess I am going to return it. I hope I don't get sent another dud. The only thing I can come up with is an out of spec barrel. I would like to know what they can come up with. I am also wondering if I should exchange or get a refund. I will keep You posted on what happens.

Hopefully It is back to the factory now. My smith noticed what might be a slight burr on the crown. I sure as heck couldnt see it without a magnifiyng glass. He sent it in any how. I would think that is probably the problem?
