| Your choice: .223 or .308?
If money is not an issue which autoloading rifle would you choose? Are there makes/models you definitely would buy, and others you would avoid?

Potgut, IMO you first have to define what you plan to do with the autoloader? CQB, varmint shooting/hunting, paperpuncher, LR/sniping etc. With that said, both are outstanding choices; what you want to do with the rifle will more or less dictate your selection. Good Luck! |

Gotta roll with DEA on this one. Your purpose should define your choice. That being said, I favor the Springfield M1A in .308 and the Bushmaster Varminter in .223. I have a 16'' upper for CQB use on my Bushmaster lower, that'll swap out in a minute. I gravitate to these choices because i carried both an M14 and an M16 in the military
