Not to be snippy, but it looks great, but what kind of group will it shoot..I have a hunting rifle that will shoot in the .3's all day long and will shoot sub MOA out to 600 yds (the fartherest I have tried)...what caliber is it, twist, projectile wt, maker, powder, OAL and who put it up for you...

| GA Precision...
fwiw, Eric at GA Precision has built 7 custom Remington 700s for me and 2 for a friend and a family member. Number 8, waiting on McMillan, is a 7mm-08 Sporter to match a .223 AI he built for me last year. In short I've seen and shot more than a few 700s and I've never seen their work excelled. Oddly enough I'm about to finish the Gunsmithing Program at the Colorado School of Trades, finished Machine Shop with a 3.7, and I'm still very impressed by George and Crew. The more I learn the more impressed I am. As in anything... They do good work and do it for a very fair price...imho Eric's bedding has to be seen to be believed. I bed in Marine-Tex as well, however, Eric is an artist. I've had a two first rate military riflesmiths, known for their bedding, comment on his bedding and finish work as well... The .223 AI with a Leupold 4.5-14x40 LR with VHR, in 30mm Talley TnTs. This rifle was built on the blueprint of a true gentleman and ambassador to our sport, Steve Timm. He was an editor for the Varmint Hunter. His articles, and later friendship, largely designed this rifle from stem to stern. He also designed the Varmint Hunter & Boone & Crockett Reticles for Leupold & Stevens... ![]() First group, shot at 10,000 plus feet elevation in Evergreen, Colorado. It's the top hole with the bottom .30 caliber hole being used as a POA. The first three rounds of AI handloads... Luck to be sure but a solid rifle as well... ![]() ![]() Bad picture of the range. That is Mount Evans in the background. It has the highest paved road in North America at 13,300 feet plus or minus a few feet... ![]() A pair of GA Precision Rocks in .308 Win/.300 Win Mag mounted with my first two Schmidt Bender Kleins... ![]() In short, and IMHO, you did not choose poorly with GA Precision... Happy Thanksgiving! Regards, Matt Garrett Lakewood, Colorado & Chesapeake, Virgina |
