are rossi revolvers any good

I'm new to the forum and need some help. I bought a Rossi 2" five shot revolver for my mom years ago. It was used then I think, but in good shape. I recently got it back from my mom because she doesn't want or need it anymore. Recently I took it to the range and was surprised at the accuracy. Here is the problem. I had to fire it single action. My girlfriend is left handed and had no problem with it double action. After a good cleaning and checking it out. The cylinder fails to rotate when the trigger is pulled right handed but functions fine left handed. If you hold it at any angle the cylinder fails to rotate. I can "Fat finger" it left handed and it's fine, try it right handed and it doesn't work. I check the cylinder and where the hand rotates the cylinder is a little worn but not bad. Could it be the hand or a spring I didn't see. Could someone give me some advice please. I checked the serial number with Rossi but it's old enough to not be in the system I guess so I'm not sure of the model number.

I have a .38spl 2" rossi and the model number is stamped on the left side of the barrel. Mine is model 68. Do not know the date of mine. and I cannot help you with your problem as I bought mine less than a week ago. Mine is very accurate as well, by the way.
