Taurus Raging Hornet

I have a Taurus Hornet that shoots very well. My problem is that
I have a problem getting the fired cases out of the cylinder.
When I polish the cylinder they will come out for 2 or 3 cylinders
with a good metal polish. Then they start sticking all over again.
I think this is the reason more revolvers are not made with rifle
cal. Does anyone else have this problem.

Bottleneck cartridges have always been a problem in revolvers. Usually the problem is the cases backing out of the cylinder and pushing against the rear of the frame, making the cylinder difficult to turn.

If yours is working for 2 or 3 cylinders of shooting, what is happening then? Are the chambers getting dirty? If so, the solution is to just run a brush or patch through the chambers when the cases start to stick.

You didn't say if you are handloading for your Taurus or not. Mine works fine with factory ammo. Had to back off some of my loads when handloading because of the problems you described. I get great accuracy using the Hornady 45 gr Bee bullet and Barnes 40 gr VLC with Lil Gun powder. A fun gun for prarie dogs.

the ammo I used in my Hornet was Rem. factory ammo. I have sold
the Hornet in favor of the thompson Encore. I have the 223,243 and the
308 barrel. Talk about long range accuracy, this is it in a pistol.
