I wish I had that problem! To keep mine from moving I had to use some thread locking compound to keep the thing in place. Actually, on the left side, on the rear sight, there is a real small screw that holds the rear sight in place when it's tightened down. The key to removing the rear sight is loosening this screw and pushing sideways on the sight to remove it from its dovetail.

i have the same problem with my rear sight moving. i loctited the little screw after i got the sight re-aligned, but it still keeps shifting. i have never had more problems with ruger .22 before. this 22/45 receiver is a replacement receiver because the original dovetail was cut at an angle and the sight was cocked and bugged my eyes when i tried to aim.

I don't know, but it does make it easier to check all the threads. On the much bigger boards, have to look at far more titles just to pick which ones are pertinent to me.
