ruger blackhawk 45 colt

Got a new toy this week. I decided to get into some Cowboy guns/shooting and got myself a Ruger Blackhawk .45 Colt; dang good shooting gun.

10 shots off hand just to get the feel of it. I need to sight it in and fine tune my loads but it's a real nice gun to shoot

Along the same Cowboy lines I ordered a Marlin 1894 45 Colt lever action rifle with the octagon barrel and all the other Cowboy fixins; I cant wait but will be for a while as it's an allocated gun.

Sorry guys I know this is a pistol forum but it's just so dang pretty.

I think the Blackhawk is disallowed for CAS competition except in certain classes...and not all CAS associations have the available classes that allow for it...so you might have a gun that you can't use for what you want to use it for.

Good gun, though. I'm a big fan of Blackhawks, especially the short-coupled .41 Magnums.
