Thumbs up sr22 pistol

I'm thinking of buying a small sa 22 for plinking and practice, Is the sr22 a good gun. I think it might be good to practice with, not as expensive to shoot as a sr9 or lc9. I''m also thinking of getting a gun safe, does any one have any suggestions on these topics ? I'm new to this forum and would like to say hello to everyone. I will try to active and post more about guns <this is just a hobby for me, but I'm getting more serious about it > and myself in the future. Thanks and every one have a great day.

Thanks for the advice Walt. I have always heard Ruger is known for making a good product, and the mark I seems to have been a legend even when I was a kid. I've read some reviews about the SR22 one specifically mentions the trigger pull as a problem. I just wonder if that is really a big issue with the gun, and if any adjustments or modifications are possible to fix the problem.

I've read several reviews on gun cabnits/safes, there are many out there most seem to be difficult to assemble and can be opend with a crow bar. I don't have that many rifles, so I may end up getting a safe just for handguns. Can any one recomend a good one?

I've had a SR22p for about three weeks now and it's been great. Fun to shoot, accurate and easy to use. Only problem is finding ammo.

I don't think you'll ever regret getting an SR22. I've had mine for about a week now, I've tried 5 different ammo makes through it. The only one I'd avoid is the thunder bolt.. I had serious leading with it.
modifications you may like.. round off the top of the hammer, round the bottom of the bolt where the bolt rides up over the hammer..
Make sure the return spring is well seated on the guide rod or it won't chamber rounds.
always be certain the takedown lever is fully locked closed or it may cause serious damage...
other than all that... enjoy!!!
I wouldn't trade my SR22 for a 1000 dollar pistol ever!
