Wink Ruger MkII & Lead Bullets?

In case someone is searching the interwebs looking for reasons why their Ruger MKII won't work with lead ammo or why the gun has "Started" malfunctioning...

Clean & lubricate your firearms regularly, especially after shooting.

That is all...

Random, amusing and yet very valuable advice.

I just had another one in that was not going into battery. I'm always amazed at how people punch the bore and think that'll keep a gun running indefinitely. I've seen more and more issues with lead bullets, and I really do think it's because of the current crop of low maintenance centerfire pistols that people beat up, Gs, M&Ps, XDs, etc. Then they think something is wrong with a HP, 1911, or a pistol like this because it needs more maintenance. Oh well. I might have just cost myself some money by posting that!

Ruger MkII & Lead Bullets?

I have a mark2. Lead bullets will cause you a lot of grief in this baby. The chamber likes to load up on lead really quickly and cause you a lot of feading problems. Sell your lead ammo to your neighbor and just don't use it in this weapon. I have the same issue with mine but it's a very nice shooter.

Does that mean the chamber is rough?

I shoot lead in my Mark II weekly without any problems. Could it be that it's cleaned after every use? Duh.................
