| cetme brake removal
Need advice on how to remove the muzzle brake from a century CETME. I can see no pins and assume it is either pressed on or threaded and silver soldered. If they are threaded and silver soldered, how much heat is needed to lossen the solder. I would like to put on either the factory flash hider or a DTA Mil-brake like I have on my HK-91.

The old Cetmerifles forum used to have a 'Do it yourself' faq on how to remove it . I believe the files are now hosted on www.militaryfirearm.com |

It has been a while since I originally posted this question so I thought I would stop back buy and give y'all an update. removing the CETME/ Century muzzle brake/loudener was fairly straightforward and easy. Instructions given over at www.militaryfirearm.com was very good. By the way, great bunch of people over their (not there isn't here).
