The New Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16

The M-14 was the probably the best of the weapons that I carried in the military. This is a much handier version than the one I was issued. It reminds me of the Garand "Tanker", which was really never issued to troops. I LOVE the sights on this rifle. The price is a bit steep, but it looks like a great weapon.......Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM 16 - Guns News and Guns Reviews at Guns.com

M14 is hands down the best rifle the Marine Corps ever issued. One day I will own one, as you say the price is steep, even having an FFL.

My dream gun has always been the M14! Just don't have the money to lay down.

Not knocking you or your gun, but I never figgured out why SA would take a perfectly good rifle and hack 6" off the barrel.

Because these days so many are in love with short barrels.

Kinda like bull barrels on a lightweight frame, hence defeating the "lightweight" part? :-)

Sometimes that's done to keep the overall weight down, especially with optical sights.

Somebody beat me to eliminating bilunuyi9086. Which is good for a change.

But seriously. Use the REPORT 'button' which is that little red triangle in the lower left corner for spam, rudeness, etc. A mod will get the report.
