| Any 1911 fanatics also Sig fans?
Just wondering how many 1911 fans are also big-time Sig fans. |

I have a full-house Novak built Sig P220 that sits in my safe.....I used to shoot the heck out of it, and did Gunsite twice with it, but my 1911's are more ergonomic, and quicker into action for me, not to mention much purtier 8) . |

I have been a cop for 10+ years and have been carrying a sig 229 for the better part of that time. I like my sig as a duty gun but for off duty use nothing beats my officers model. Its smaller thinner and just feels better in the hand. If I can't carry that i revert back to a sig 225. The best feeling sig out there. ![]() |

Hey Hoser! I think you and I had this conversation before. The Sigs are good guns but they just never seen to feel "right" in my hand. I keep wanting to include one or two in my safe but every time I go to look at them they feel like I'm holding a top heavy 2x4............ Thats why I opted for Beretta and CZ for my double action pistols......

Hey, which models do you have of Beretta and CZ? You've been holding out on me again!

Yeah, love the P226, the new heavy sport models (P226 sport, X-Five, etc) are also beautiful...even if they are terribly overpriced. I'd probably own the P226 if I didn't have to by a new barrel for it to make it legal here.

| I love 'em both....
and yes, I fully admit that my 220 and 226s don't feel "right" in my hand, but they're damn reliable. I have more stoppages with my Kimbers in rapid fire than with any of my SiGs. My Winter carry is a Wilson Tactical Super-Grade or a Les Baer SRP. My Summer carry is a P239 in .40 S&W. I simply haven't found a 1911 of that size that is 100% reliable. |

Got a Colt series 80 full size, a Valtro, a CZ 85 Combat, and yea a 220. 1911's are my favorite but I love my Sig. It's a different animal but it has been 100% reliable and once you get used to it very accurate. To me though the 1911 when properly set up is the complete package. The Sig and the CZ were my choice after checking out just about all the other double action pistols out there. Sig magazines in my experience are about as reliable as can be. The tension on my Cz's mag springs gave out after no time.

I have four Sigs (a 220, a 226, a 228, and a 239). I also have five GMs (of various makes and configurations). Don't know if this qualifies me as a fanatic, but I sure do like 'em both!

Ilove 1911's. There,I said it. That being said I am selling one to defray the cost of buying a 220 from cdnn. a nickel slided beauty that im wondering is a rounded hammer spur model. I flirted with the glock a while, but I think if it is an autoloader mine are either 1911's or sigs.
