hey all!! dammit, bought my p220 about 3yrs ago. started off bad with wolf ammo and several ftf. unknown to me at the time wolf is evil ammo, cheap and dirty. the barrel still shows scars even after cleaning with bore brush, rem oil and hoppes 9. mr gunsmith will be next move. the rifling has black deposits of shit( powder residue and heavy lead deposits). if i shot say 75 rds thru to heat up the barrel and quickly dissasembled and rescrubbed the barrel would it come clean?

A more agressive bore cleaner like Bore Tech Eliminator or Butch's might do a better job than Hoppe's to remove the remaining crud.

Welcome Tom/GaCop103. You may not have noticed, but you just replied to a 4+ year old thread--there are a lot of those here btw. Hasn't been the most exciting forum board in the world for quite a spell now.
But, stay around, do some reading, start some new threads yourself. Hopefully under the new management here, it won't take four years for someone to reply back to you!
