P226 New Style or Old Style
I just purchased a used P226 in 9mm that needs a couple of parts replaced. I'm finding out while looking for parts that there is a "New Style" and an "Old Style" on some of the parts. Does anyone know approximately where the change over to new style is? The serial number of mine is U 384 XXX.

"new style" parts...
style updates and mods were always ongoing , with backwards compatibility maintained where possible. when a new mod [ such as the 'new extractor' on the p220] came out for production , all production and shipping would halt until all in-stock pistols were updated. i remember leaving at 11:45 pm the night before thanksgiving of 2005 on one such occasion. god alone knows how many mods i did that day...

I like the older Sig's .
But it's just because of the rail ... I'm a no rail guy.
I personally think new or old .. no quality difference.
But I'm not crazy about the looks of the rails.
I own several with rails (like my P226 X5) but I couldn't get it w/o rail.
It's all personal taste ... not right or wrong
