Need help before i pull my hair out

Bought a 22LR conversion kit for my P220 and cant get the blame thing to work half the time. I cant believe Sig would allow something with their name on it with such poor performance. I will be kind and not even get into the magazine issues. I have tried several different lubes and grease 2 you see below. Several different amo including CCI Mini Mag. If anyone has any answers i would appreciate it.
P.S. I forget to mention: They didn't give me the blame thing but it only cost $249 plus shipping

Have you contacted the kit maker?

I have used several different 22lr makers, all needed to have a light lube in the unit, something like FP10 or CLP, none have ever recomended grease. I started out using the recomended ammo in the instruction sheets, and then tested others, most work with CCI mini mag 40grain. The above worked for me, hopefully it may help you. Good luck on your trouble shooting.

Thanks my friend for the help. I am going to settle on the CLP and excited to try it. I have another question if you will notice below its not to be used on "it cannot used on Polymer frame guns". The gun i use the kit on is a sig p220 and its an aluminum frame. My concern is the p220 has a Scorpion finish that looks like a painted surface which i like very much and i was wondering what you knew about a finish like that? I don't have the can here in front of me to read and cant find anywhere on the net whether it would effect my scorpion finish.
Thanks again

To let you know the product below if what i ordered.

Tha breakfreeCLP is good on my steel guns. Dont have a Sig so cant help you there.
I use FP10 on all the guns for lube. I use polymer degreaser (can be found at Brownells.com) for all the other plastic or painted guns. I also use shooters choice as a cleaner. no issues as of the last 20 plus years.
I start with a cleaner such as Hoppes or Shooters choice, clean it all off with the polymer degreaser, then lube it with the FP10, This is what works for me, others use synthetic motor oil which works a sa lube too. a lot of choices out there. Hope that helps. Regards

My questions are: Is the internal parts and the way its made inside still the same as the modern ones of today? If not, will it still take all the modern spring kits, SRT Trigger if it don't have one and other things for me to modify it up to a modern gun.

Welcome to Pistolsmith, Alicia.

I believe you will get a better response if you post your questions in a new thread titled "Sig .22lr Conversion?"
