Aging my 6904
I bought a S&W model 6904 from a friend of mine about a month ago. He was the second owner of that firearm. He thinks it is about 8 or 9 years old. I think it is a little bit older. Does anyone know when S&W manufactured the 6904 with the square trigger guard? The more recent models I have seen on the net have a rounded trigger guard. I read somewhere that they manufactured the square trigger guard in the late 80's but I am not sure. Any info would be appreciated. I know that I can pay $30 and have S&W give me the info on this gun but I don't really care that much...It isn't a collectors item. I'm just curious.
