Well, I can't email the pistol out to everyone, so I thought some really good photos of the areas might be a place to start! Thanks for the compliment.

Looks to me like the full cock notch is almost gone. As for hammers, you can replace the hammer with any N frame hammer...while you're at it, might as well get a target hammer...if you replace the trigger, you will have to fit them together and may have to do a bit of fitting with only a new hammer. Note: User a super fine, hard triangular stone, you'll learn to hate that stone if you use it correctly...it may take a hour or more of stoning to get the correct fit. DO NOT use a courser stone...the trigger and hammer are case hardened and if you cut through the case hardened metal, you will reach mild steel and it will not hold up under repeated firing...it will "erode" on you. You may need to stone the trigger back to a nice square edge before starting on the hammer.
NOTE: Some earlier mentioned the rebound slide....I have never seen a "bad" rebound slide, however if the gun was rigged for double action only or just tried to smooth up the action in general, there's a good chance someone ground a coil or two off the rebound slide spring, so replacing the spring may be a good idea.
