I have heard great things about Apex Tactical, and owner/gunsmith Randy Lee. Has anybody had the S&W mdl 617, Apex Mass Driver .22 hammer installed? Based on the photo on their website showing no hammer spur, it looks like a DA only modification. I really want to keep single action manual cocking available. Any recomendations? If I don't use Randy Lee I am thinking of having Alan Tanaka, or Jim Hoag work my trigger.

Welcome to the Forum, alazgr8. The Mass Driver does NOT allow SA cocking and is designed to lower DA trigger pulls. Significantly reducing SA trigger pull, while retaining reliability in the 617 is a ticklish business. Do your homework, and ASK QUESTIONS before sending your 617 out.
