| 19-2 Front sight help
I need some help with a front sight on a model 19-2. The sight was completely missing so I have nothing to judge it by. I have ordered two different sights from Numrich and neither one is even close to fitting. Their is a slot approximately an 1'' long that the sight fits into and it is very thin. The sight is the pinned type. The guy that owns the gun told me he never changed the sight and that is the way it came from S&W. If anyone can help me, or lead me in the right direction to find a new sight for this gun I would appreciate it very much. Thanks! |

In so far as I know, the Model 19-2 guns still had the front sight made as part of the barrel forging and were not separate pieces. If the barrel was custom modified to take a pin-on sight, you might have trouble finding something to fit. Gun parts does list S&W front sights. They list the sights no matter what the revision number is. You could also probably get something direct from S&W.
