| Hammer spring replacement
I just opened up the package of replacement hammer springs from either Midway or Brownells, and they are quite a bit heavier. Presumably all K,L,N frames take the same main spring so the fact that I have a model 14-2 shouldn't matter right? I both took some dimensions as well as used a calibrated force gauge to confirm that he replacements, supposedly genuine S&W parts, are considerably heavier. Do you guys know of this? Is there a source of the exact spring I have? Thanks, Ed |

I'm not sure about the springs, and my reference books are not accessible right now. I'd go direct to S&W to get the right spring direct from them. Have the exact model and dash version, along with the serial number when you call. Last edited by dfariswheel; 07-14-2014 at 05:52 PM. |
