just got one sat. and ran 200 rounds through it today. I love it springfield got it right.

I got mine well over a year ago, and it has been an amazing little pistol. It's my daily carry gun. I had some work done by Ned Christiansen, blacked out the whole gun, flutted the barrel, and cut down one mag so it's flush with the frame. This gun is much smaller than a standard 3 inch 1911, very light and just a pleasure to carry. It's been 100% reliable as well. Like a few other people have said, it's much more accurate than a 3 inch 1911 has any right to be. Matt Williams |

Be interestin' to know if anybody has chrono'ed any "HOT NINES" from the 3 in. barrel......How many fps We losein versus a 4 in. Bill Caldwell |

I've had mine for just a little time but love it for its feel and accuracy. It has one "California" related problem that you guys don't have to worry about. To meet the California "drop test" requirement they use a titanium firing pin with an extra heavy firing pin spring. The problem is occasionally I get a FTF. I know what the problem is and I'm trying to get a steel firing pin with appropriate spring. Springfield for legal purposes will not send the firing pin to a California address. And yes I know but moving is not an option unfortunately. As soon as I get the correct pin and spring I'm sure my problem will go away. Great pistol with my highest recommendation, as long as you don't have a California EMP. Mike |
