| EMP ambi safety
I am not new to 1911's but I have never removed an ambi safety. I have a new EMP on the way and I am sure that I will want to remove the right side (ambi) lever. Can I just take out this piece and put the left side in by itself or is there another left side that I must buy to put in the place to fill the hole left on the right side? Or, will there even be a hole on the right side? |

You will need to have a new safety fitted to the gun. The Left side of an ambi safety will not stay in the gun by itself. When you get the pistol I would shoot it for several hundred rounds to see if there are any issues with the gun and then send it to SA for a new safety (and to correct any identified deficencies). If they do the work the lifetime warranty will still be in effect. RWW |
