Hello to SVI Pistol Experts
Somebody brought to me this pistol for minor repair as i examined the hand gun, it is in bad shape. The safety lever & plunger are gone. The lower receiver is made of all steel. I am not sure if it real or a second rate copy cat.

Here are some pictures.

Wow. Why'd they bring it to you? Minor repair? Looks pretty major to me. At least cosmetically. AP&W to the rescue! I would imagine that gun isn't much better inside than out. Honestly, I'd call STI/Infinity and give em the serial # to check it's manufacturing history. See if that's been reported stolen, too. I don't know of many people that have the jing for one of those that wouldn't take MUCH better care of it than that. I wouldn't be surprised to find out it's hot. Looks like it'll take a bit of $ to get it back in fighting shape, too. I dunno if the owner would think it's worth it.

Oh TWO new: When I tried this in IE, it wouldn't give me the option of opening in new tab. So I opened this thread link in Crome. That gave me the option and I could see the pix.

Now I see your concern for myself. Alb has the right idea on this.

Please let us know what you find.

Yes, minor repair according to the owner, I will just fit the new safety lever and plunger, without having it refinished. Maybe it is beautiful for him, as it looks like a battle weary pistol, or maybe for financial reason.

Yes, you right, it needs a major repair from inside out, but after installing the safety lever, it shoots very well, 16 rounds without a single malfunctions.

How about your call to the Manufacturer, what is their response? I am very interested to know about this gun, if it is original and everything about it.
