I met him back around 1977, in Oregon.
He worked on a S&W mod 19 for me,..even though he was more of an "auto" guy.,..and he taught me some combat shooting tactics.
If memory serves me correctly, he was an armorer for the NYPD, and later on, he may have been the chief armorer for the LAPD.
When I met him,.he had the habit of wearing two .45's cokced/locked,..one under each arm.
He told me that he was "retired" in Oregon,..didn't want to have a lot to do with people he didn't already know.
