Yesterday my wife and I took her niece to the airport and stopped at a gun show on the way home (Gibraltar Trade Center, Mt. Clemens, MI). Here's my latest, an H&R Self-loader .32 acp, second series; based on 16 serrations and the magazine disconnector; the first series had 12 serrations and the third lacked the magazine disconnect. It is based on a Webley design - both in 6.35mm and 7.65mm (aka .25 and .32 acp). The Webleys are external hammer guns and the H&Rs are striker fired. Disassembly is simple; empty and safe gun, drop striker, remove magazine - pull down the trigger guard slide the slide forward and off. Colt's Browning designed 1903 was #1 followed by the Savage 1907, and a far third was the H&R self loader. So who wants to make one in .45 acp?
And here it is with the two more popular .32 acp pistols of their day: |
